Welcome Coach Sarah Simmons

Sarah Simmons comes to Allegro and Jersey from Florida by way of Alabama.  Where she played D2 volleyball for University of Montevallo and earned her BS in Kinesiology. Coach Sarah recently received her doctorate in physical therapy and will be taking care of her patients in the Morris County area.   

A smart player on and off the court Coach Sarah was twice named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll.  In high school she earned the team's Biggest Heart Award following her senior season.  Coach Sarah clearly understands what it takes to work hard and play at a high level.  When asked why she coaches? Coach Sarah's response was,  "I just really enjoy the aspect of watching the girls develop not only on the court, but off the court as well! "

Player Highlights:

2014... Was named to the Peach Belt Conference All-Academic team... was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... appeared in 131 sets and played in all 33 matches for the Falcons during her senior season... recorded 244 kills, including an average of 1.86 kills per set, while posting a .147 attack percentage... finished second on the team with 384 digs... also registered 33 blocks and 24 service aces.

2013... Was named a Gold Scholar on the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll... was a recipient of the NCAA Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award... appeared in 42 sets and played in 21 matches.

2012... Played at Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Fla... was named first team All-Panhandle Conference following her sophomore season.

2011... Played at Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Fla... was named first team All-Panhandle Conference following her freshman season... racked up 345 kills and finished with an average of 2.90 kills per set... recorded 268 digs and 52 blocks.

High school... Graduated from Niceville High School in Niceville, Fla. magna cum laude in the spring of 2011... led her team to a district and region championship... was named her team's Best All-Around Player and earned the team's Biggest Heart Award following her senior season.
