Introducing in 2021, Allegro Showcase Teams! These teams will compete in select high profile events and provide Allegro athletes additional opportunities to showcase for college coaches and scouts. Showcase events are chosen based on recruiting needs and teams are open to all Allegro players both local and travel. The most common ways for college coaches to evaluate talent is at National Qualifier tournaments and other multi-day events. Qualifier take place almost every weekend in March and April. These tournaments decide which teams get a bid for the Junior National Championships.
Grand Prix and Super Regional Tournaments are events across the country and take place March through May. Teams from these tournaments win entry to the AAU Junior National Championships in Orlando Fla at the end of the season.
In addition to National Qualifiers, Grand Prix/Super Regionals, there are several other prominent multi-day tournaments recruits can also participate in. The biggest tournaments usually take place over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, President’s Day weekend, St Patrick's Day weekend.
National Championships are the capstone event of the year for juniors volleyball. AAU Championships are in Orlando over several weeks in June. USAV Championships generally follow in July with locations rotating through the country. Girls 18U Open Championships the past couple of years are earlier in April or May with locations TBA.
